MMikeCrawfordPhotoike has been a systems and business analyst for 30 years. He’s also been a programmer, designer, consultant, project manager, and company director. In 1986, he founded a UK software house and IT training company.

He moved to Sydney, Australia, in 2009, where he has engaged in various consultancy and training assignments as well as presenting sessions and workshops at industry events for organizations such as the Australian Computer Society, the IEEE, and the Business Analysis World Conferences.

He is currently Director of Business Analysis Services at Planit Software Testing (Australia) where he established the Business Analysis Services unit. He is the architect of Planit’s Business Analysis Capability Framework, which encompasses BA processes, standards, competencies, skills, tools, and techniques.

Mike is a writer for the IIBA’s Guide to the BABOK, Version 3, an examiner for the British Computer Society’s International Business Analysis Diploma, and an accredited assessor for the Australian Institute of Business Analysis (AIBA). He is also a trained mediator (with Mediation UK) and NLP Master Practitioner.
